The Global Ops

The U.S. business
behind your brand.

The Global Ops is a U.S. market-entry and operating partner that helps international brands build, run and grow their American business.

Commercial reach. Operating responsibility.

People, processes
and daily execution.

The Global Ops is a U.S. market-entry and operating partner for international brands across fashion, beauty, accessories, jewelry, home and lifestyle. We help brands assess market fit, choose appropriate routes to market and build the commercial and operating infrastructure their U.S. business needs.

Our work connects market validation, retail and marketplace management, brand presentation, product data, technology, fulfillment, customer service and returns. Brands can work with us to enter the market, strengthen an existing operation or develop their next stage of growth.

Across every stage, we operate, analyze and optimize, using customer response and commercial performance to guide decisions. We consider sales alongside channel costs, inventory, returns and margins, helping brands pursue opportunities their business is prepared to support.

The people responsible

Tugba Kalyoncu, Founder and CEO of The Global Ops

Tugba Kalyoncu

Founder / CEO

Tugba founded Lara Consulting, the company behind The Global Ops, in 2014 as an independent U.S.-based operating company focused on business operations, commercial execution and cross-border growth. From late 2017, through a long-term collaboration in the fashion and retail sector, she applied the experience she had gained building online systems and digital businesses in hospitality to retail. In 2020 she built and managed her first U.S. marketplace operation for one of the brands in that collaboration.

That work has grown into a multi-brand, multi-marketplace operating model, run with a core team that has stayed together as the operation expanded across brands, marketplaces, technologies and increasingly complex requirements. It now spans marketplace management, technology and integrations, catalog and inventory, fulfillment, returns, customer service, retailer compliance and cross-functional execution, and has supported the U.S. market entry, launch and ongoing operations of more than 15 international fashion and lifestyle brands while maintaining on-time shipment performance above 99% across multiple accounts.

Before retail, Tugba spent more than two decades in hospitality, restaurant and logistics businesses in the United States and Türkiye: franchised restaurants in Florida and Pennsylvania, where she expanded digital ordering and online sales channels alongside in-store operations; a Fort Lauderdale hotel and a portfolio of 22 short-term rental properties, where she built the management and online distribution systems from the ground up and raised annual occupancy from about 30% to 80% within the first year; a New York restaurant whose takeout business she built from scratch; and B2B sales leadership at TNT, where she won major corporate accounts in international express logistics.

Operating infrastructure

Connect the decisions
to the work.

Operating infrastructure means the people, processes, systems, data and physical operations that support the business.

Commercial direction

Market validation, assortment, pricing context and channel priorities.

Product and order information

Product data, availability, commerce connections and exceptions that need attention.

Product and customer care

Inventory handling, fulfillment, customer communication and return assessment within the agreed scope.

We agree responsibilities, access, reporting and operating requirements for each engagement. Locations, capacity and service levels are confirmed as part of that discussion.
